Cradle to Grave

So, the obsession

did not abate.

It left you restless,

the weight of the day

relentless.

Too much for you

to oppose,

it crushed you,

left you breathless.

Okay,

it’s time to get on the train,

so thirsty for the next stop,

just to kill the pain.

We’re on our way now.

I bet you’ll find out

the hard way.

In the cradle

of your discontent.

Hide your disease.

Deny your everything.

The sky opens up to you

and you recede.

Can’t find the will to believe,

no one ever asked you to,

or wanted anything from you,

only that your find relief

from yourself.

You were always

your own worst enemy.

Here in the softness

of the morning,

I can almost hear you cry.

Asking for answers,

begging for something.

Even your memory

gets denied.

I have been wondering

for a long time,

what place they found for you?

I hope you figured out

the answers.

I hope you’ve learned

the truth.

It’s out there,

just like you.
