Carry On

You walked

the edge of the knife

better than anyone.

Into the great unknown,

you did it

on your own.

When the great fire

consumes me,

my ashes take the wind.

When death

should find me,

I speak long with my friend.

If the Devil

comes upon me,

I lean upon my cross.

When the world

changes around me,

I just carry on.

You walked

the edge of the knife

better than anyone.

Into the great unknown

you travelled

all alone.
