The light wants to know you,
wants to learn its way around you.
Touch you like you touch the world,
not in spirit, or in sorrow.
Light has no face of its own,
except when it resides inside of you.
You are a light, too.
You and the stars are siblings.
Every light in the night
is an intelligence, burning.
Every dawning of the day
is a mind waking.
