Only one way to learn,
and it doesn’t mean
looking backwards.
Eyes up,
and face forward.
All the fear
and all the glory.
“Are you worried about being cancelled?
Having your statues toppled,
and face smashed off the temple?”
No.
The world erases us all.
It’s in its nature.
I’m a short timer.
I believe in the small pleasures.
The dawn,
the breeze,
a cup of good coffee.
A pretty face,
a smile,
a long kiss.
Still so much to learn.
So much to see.
This world is so deep.
The Lord giveth,
and the Lord taketh away.
So, I’m gonna keep going,
and see where this leads.
