What is the story?
Do I tell you
of the places I have been?
The things that I have seen.
The people I have known.
Do I tell you
of the dreams
that I have had?
The things that make me laugh,
or fears that I have felt
while all alone.
Do I tell you of
the heroes I have met?
The records I have set,
or memories
I’m trying to forget.
Do I tell you
of lonely roads,
the great unknown,
or lies that I’ve outgrown?
Stories come
and stories go.
I know you’ve got
a lifetime of your own.
For today,
my storytelling’s done.
