Let the light in
and breathe a sigh.
Another night has passed,
another storm gone,
and we’re alive.
I can’t imagine
a better reason
to celebrate.
Passing through
the darkness,
surviving
all those monsters
we create.
Sometimes
the greatest
feeling in the world
is waking up alive.
You smile at me
and I can’t believe
my eyes.
There you are,
and I am here, too.
We found a way
to face the night
and make it through.
There is no
greater victory
to celebrate
than today.
