As good as it gets.
Hold on.
Take a look around.
Take it all in.
Climbing into this old oak.
Higher than you’ve been before.
Calm breeze,
birds up high
and you can see for miles.
Do you see your impending ruin?
Do you see the pain you’ll cause?
Does the sky show you confusion,
loss,
or anything at all?
I didn’t think so.
Just a summer day.
Climbing up into the sky,
to sit up high,
so far away
from the weight of life.
Just lounging in the limbs.
Sure,
sometime,
you’ll have to come down
and deal with the world
here on the ground.
But for now,
just let the breeze
and the Sun
kiss your face
and leave the world
way down there.
