The Man in The Grey Suit

Graceful as you are,

moving through

your home

and medium.

Fooling almost

everyone.

Smooth,

and cool,

but not cold blooded.

Mistaken

for a person,

or a friend.

Those who know,

the piteous few

who followed you,

learned to read your grin.

Hunger and appetite.

Really a machine.

Not much of us in you,

beyond what’s in your teeth.

You had them all fooled,

before you moved in

for the kill,

but not me.

I know a shark when I see one.
