The Navigator

It was all so clear to me,

but now,

its time eludes me.

I was caught up in a place

of doors and windows

all before me.

I thought it meant

I had a choice,

but so many lost decisions,

cost me more than I could bear,

until my vision saw no exit.

Even the light

sought to elude me.

I questioned every worthy mention.

The ideas in my head

seemed wrong again,

and I was left out

in the desert.

Under a new sky,

an image formed before me.

A new light,

a new day,

a new way to surrender.

There were no more

thoughts of despair for me;

only a quiet hope.

In the middle of nowhere,

any direction could lead me home.
