Sometimes I dream
butterfly dreams,
the Sun in the sky,
green in the leaves,
and everything’s flowers
as far as I see.
These little dreams
live as long as me.
Sometimes I dream
elephant dreams,
heat of the plains
shimmers up from the East.
Walk long seeking water,
and good company.
These dreams I remember
as long as I’ll be.
Sometimes I dream
only in screams,
tears and blood falling,
and shadows with teeth.
Trying to run,
but I can’t move my feet,
and things in the dark
that are coming for me.
And sometimes,
I don’t dream at all.

Really nice prose, I like the vivid comparisons of the kind of dreams. Thanks and have a blessed day. Love 💕 Joni
