This is it.
This is the moment where we step up
to the window,
to the cliffs edge,
and forget our contemplations,
just exist in this moment.
All the universe
has made it possible
for us
to fall forever,
there is no gravity
great enough to drag us down,
we have to step willingly.
No push,
no pull,
not coaxing smile,
no harsh deride,
no trick,
no scam
will drive us to make that next step,
the only thing that will make us go
is us.
Maybe Faith,
maybe a certain confidence,
maybe there’s just no more left inside.
I can’t imagine what it would take,
but I am here all the same;
looking into forever
and breathing
and feeling
and hoping
to fly.
