It’s a Madhouse!

I keep asking,

but I know I’m wrong.

The days get shorter

and the nights get long.

The mind plays tricks,

and the band plays on,

just don’t let the crazy out.

Don’t let the crazy out.

Don’t let the crazy out.

Don’t let the crazy out.

The dark lies cold.

Unaware are the holes,

in our eyes,

in our heads,

somewhat safe

in our beds.

Line up,

get yours

from the gentleman’s claws.

Children cry for their mothers

no one stops at all.

All I can hear

is the Wolfman’s call,

saying; Don’t let the crazy out.

Don’t let the crazy out.

Don’t let the crazy out.

Don’t let the crazy out.

Greet the short Sun

with a tempered smile.

Live a life worth living,

give it every mile.

They walk you to church

and they walk you down the aisle.

I can still hear the screams

that I heard as a child.

Grow up strong,

grow up right.

So meek,

so mild,

but the mind’s no prison,

hasn’t been for a while.

Just don’t let the crazy out.

Don’t let the crazy out.

Don’t let the crazy out.

Don’t let the crazy out.

Madness is a gift.

A full moon’s curse.

Broke a lot of bad habits,

some got a lot worse.

Some drive a Ferrari,

some ride in a hearse,

but we’re all getting there,

just don’ t wanna go first.

There’s a joke being played

on the world as a whole.

There’s a game of high stakes,

ante up with your soul.

The world keeps spinning,

it’s just how we roll,

but don’t let the crazy out.

Don’t let the crazy out.

Don’t let the crazy out.

Don’t let the crazy out.
